Help!   How to use Christchurch Guide Interactive

This guide provides the ability to ‘walk around’ the shopping areas and retail parks, allowing you to see the shops and in many cases to access their websites. You can find out where a shop is, what it looks like and how to contact it - before leaving home.

A ‘Virtual Street’ page

At the top of each street page you will find the ‘Cross the Road’ and ‘Return to the Home Page’ icons (see right).

In the centre you will see a ‘virtual street’ of places to go or shops to visit.  Often this will reflect how you will see a street in real life; sometimes the ‘street’ will show places that may be a significant distance apart- indicated by a small arrow.

You can pan (walk along) the street using the slider underneath.

Click on a shop or image to open a ‘popup’ (which looks like a spiral bound notepad!) to find brief details of the shop or business, with a link to its website where available.

Finding your way around.
The stylised Map pages depict the main retail / business zones and streets. ‘Click’ on a street to open a ‘virtual’ street which you can explore further.
